Welcome to Wyld Heart Ceramics! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, https://www.wyldheartceramics.com, and any purchases made through our online shop. By accessing the site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the site.

1. Overview
Wyld Heart Ceramics is a small, artist-run business specializing in handmade ceramic goods. Our pieces are crafted in small batches and sold as-is, with natural variations in glaze, form, and finish.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old—or the age of majority in your jurisdiction—to make purchases through our website. By using the site, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Product Descriptions & Availability
We strive to describe our products accurately and represent them truthfully through photos and text. However, due to the handmade nature of our work, there may be slight variations in size, shape, texture, or color. These are not considered defects—they're what make each piece unique.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products at any time without notice. We cannot guarantee that items will remain in stock.

4. Pre-Orders & Limited Drops
We offer limited pre-order opportunities throughout the year for special collections. By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge:

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at time of order, with remaining balance due before shipping
  • Lead times vary and will be communicated at time of purchase
  • Pre-orders are non-refundable once production begins
  • You'll receive progress updates and a ship date estimate
  • Final pieces may have slight variations from concept images
  • Production timelines may be affected by studio availability and kiln schedules (see Section 12)

5. Custom & Commission Work
Custom orders and commissions require:

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit to begin work
  • Your approval of design concept before production
  • 6-8 weeks for completion (timeline provided at booking)
  • Understanding that custom work is final sale and non-refundable once approved

6. Pricing & Payments
All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice. We accept payments through Shopify's secure checkout system, including credit cards, Apple Pay, and other approved payment methods.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing information when placing an order. For custom work and pre-orders, final payment is due before shipping.

7. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping rates and delivery estimates are provided at checkout. Once a package has been handed off to the shipping carrier, we are not responsible for delays, losses, or damages caused during transit.

Orders over $300 automatically include signature confirmation and full insurance coverage.

8. Returns & Cancellations
Due to the handmade nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, cancellations, or exchanges except in cases of damaged goods or incorrect shipments.

If your item arrives damaged, contact us within 3 days of delivery at wyldheartla@gmail.com. See our Refund Policy for full details.

9. Intellectual Property
All content on this site—including product images, logos, branding, photography, product descriptions, original designs, and sculptural work—is the intellectual property of Wyld Heart Ceramics and may not be used, reproduced, distributed, or replicated without written permission.

This includes but is not limited to: ceramic designs, glaze formulations, signature collections (such as the Hairitage collection), and all visual documentation of our work.

10. Product Use & Care
Our ceramics are functional art pieces. Unless otherwise stated:

  • Items are food-safe and dishwasher-safe, though hand washing is recommended
  • Avoid thermal shock (extreme temperature changes)
  • Not suitable for microwave use unless specifically noted
  • Handle with care—ceramics can break if dropped

We are not liable for damage resulting from misuse or failure to follow care instructions.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wyld Heart Ceramics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the site or products purchased from us.

Products are intended for personal, non-commercial use only. Maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

12. Force Majeure & Studio Operations
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, kiln failures, material shortages, shipping carrier delays, or other unforeseen events.

Community Studio Notice: Wyld Heart Ceramics operates out of a shared community studio space. While we maintain high standards and careful scheduling, production timelines may occasionally be affected by:

  • Kiln availability and firing schedules
  • Studio closures or maintenance
  • Shared equipment malfunctions or repairs
  • Community studio operational changes

We will communicate any significant delays as soon as possible and work to fulfill your order in a timely manner. These circumstances do not constitute grounds for refund once production has begun.

13. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our site shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California.
